    The TCEU is an Organization that is 501C3 Chartered, non-profit organization which is made up of volunteers from all over Tipton County.

 

     The TCEU operates on the water with boats specified for small tributaries and river search & rescue and recovery. The TCEU operates on land with ATVs and on foot, training for open land, wooded areas and difficult terrain search & rescue. 

 

      The TCEU operates with other emergency and non-emergency organizations in Tipton County. We provide traffic control, auxilary lighting & mobile power and man power for emergency events.

 

      The TCEU help with storm damage in Tipton County to help open roadways for emergency vehicles and the public. The TCEU also help clear storm damage to help citizens of Tipton County who may not be able to clear it off themselves from driveways or structures when we can safely do so.

 

 

We are a part of Tipton County's EMA and 911 Dispatch.

The TCEU

      The Tipton County Emergency Unit was established in the 1970's to provide a dependable means for land and water search & rescue in Tipton County. Originlly the name was Tipton County Sheriff's Emergency Unit, but was changed due to confusion of members being though of as Sheriff's Deputies and not search & rescue as intended.

 

          Today the TCEU is under the operation of Chief Lloyd Blyue with the assistance of it's Board of Directors. The TCEU still strives to provide the most dependable search & rescue organization to the people of Tipton County.

 

           We do this though having dedicated, reliable and well trianed members who love to help other. We also belive in haveing the correct equipment to perform our job while in the water and on land.
